MDE 2013: Miss Lithuania (round one) by LieutenantSheesha MDE 2013: Miss Lithuania (round one) by LieutenantSheesha
Since round one's focus was boots, I decided to go with a pose which incorporates them-- tying them. I cut up Moe brutally for this, so I would have been better off going baseless, but oh well.
Um, the fullbody's outfit is inspired by stuff I saw on a Lithuanian street fashion blog. And, luckily, it looks pretty similar to Canadian street fashion.

Just went for the head for the portrait, since the fullbody was so full of action, I didn't want to overwhelm in the image. So, sunglasses and a little sun necklace suffice for beachwear, I think. I live near the beach; no one ever actually wears swimsuits.

I think one of my favourite things is the winter/autumn fashion contrasted with summer. And the colour scheme, because I love me some beige, gold, and pink. It's a very subtle, sweet combination.

The hair! The folds! I guess the appropriate thing for me to say is good luck in the pageant, lol.

Are judges even allowed to compliment me?
Ah, who cares?! PRAISE ME!

I don't know honestly. But I don't see the harm in you knowing I think this is lovely. So, praise praise, praise rain down on your talented head!!!

Good choice keeping the fullbody doll as the highlight. It's a fluid piece and I dig all of her outfit, the bag especially. I dunno, the colors and shape of it are just really awesome. And of course, you always have a ton of character in the face and expression. I envy your ability to make things completely your own. <3
Also your shading abilities are off the charts.

Everyone keeps liking the bag! And it's funny, because I specifically threw that pattern on there to hide the fact that my shading wasn't up to my usual standards, haha.

Haha, yeah, it happens. While I think the shading looks fine, the pattern certainly completes it overall.
We all see stuff in our own work that the viewers don't, and vise versa.

Ah, well, how I typically use bases is more as an inspiration point. Then I just draw something completely new overtop.
